Opened in 1962, this iconic concert venue with a striking facade and extraordinary acoustic characteristics has been the heart of Berlin music ever since. The tent-like structure with a distinctive yellow colour is home to a world-famous orchestra. You can take a guided tour of this architectural highlight and learn much about its history.
Even if you are not a lover of classical music, you should experience a live orchestra playing in this building - you might be pleasantly surprised. Or just stop by to marvel at the majestic architecture.
You can get here from the Potsdamer Platz train and bus station, or from the Philharmonie Süd bus station (lines M41 and 200).
