Café Sacher

Visit the place with the original Sacher-torte, right in the middle of Vienna.

This place has been making the Sacher-torte for 200 years and has a rich history. Although over the years it has become crowded with tourists and a little pricey, it still gives off the genuine ambience of the birthplace of this culinary masterpiece. The food is hit-or-miss, it can be really good sometimes, but other times it's just as good as in any other café in Vienna.

The nearest tram station is Kärntner Ring. Oper, lines 1 and 2, but you can also get here from Karlsplatz metro station, lines U1, U2 and U4.
