More than five centuries old, this museum was the oldest public museum in the world. You can find it right in the heart of Rome, housed in two imposing historical buildings.
The museum's collection includes some of the most valuable artefacts and artworks in the history of Rome, as well as the history of Europe, like the bronze statue of the Capitoline she-wolf, or paintings by Caravaggio.
