Also known as La Pedrera, Casa Milà is yet another masterpiece by Gaudí - a stunning modernist building that attracts many visitors. No wonder that this building was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
When you look at the exterior, notice that Gaudí tried to avoid straight lines, everything is deformed and dynamic. The modernism is everywhere – from the ventilation towers on the roof to the beautifully designed iron gate or detailed decoration of the balconies. Gaudí also came up with the idea of an underground garage, which was something brand new in his time.
La Pedrera is one of the most popular attractions in Barcelona, be sure to purchase your ticket in advance to avoid waiting. Audioguides in 10 languages are included in your ticket.
