This church was founded as early as in the 9th century which makes it one of the oldest churches in Venice. It was rebuilt several times till it reached its present-day form. Nowadays, it prides itself on many works of art by well-known Italian painters (e.g. Lorenzo Lotto or Francesco Bassano).
