This inconspicuous church was built in the 15th century. Most people know it because of the small tomb, called Tempietto, which is hidden in its the courtyard.
The tomb was designed by Donato Bramante and is said to mark the spot where Saint Peter, one of Christianity's most important saints, was crucified. Notice the beauty of the edifice. It is supposed to be one of the most harmonious and eye-catching constructions of the Renaissance period.
