Dating back to the times of the Roman colony of Barcino, this ruined temple marks what used to be the highest point of the Taber Hill. The temple was built to honor Emperor Augustus and originally, it was 37 meters long and 17 meters wide. Nowadays, there are only four columns left.
The site is part of Barcelona City History Museum but the entry is free, so it's definitely worth the stop once you're in the Gothic Quarter.
