Crystal Palace Park

Local nameCrystal Palace Park
LocationLondon, UK

This major public Victorian park is the perfect getaway from the bustle of Central London. It features many sites of interest - lakes, a free 19th-century maze, full-scale models of dinosaurs and extinct mammals, a concert bowl and the National Sports Centre.

The park takes its name after the 1851 Great Exhibition - after it ended, the Crystal Palace was moved here from Hyde Park on the suggestion of Joseph Paxton, who designed the palace.
