Leicester Square is a popular meeting and hang-out spot for both tourists and Londoners. Chinese New Year Celebrations also take place here. Make sure to go and see the fountain and statue of William Shakespeare in the middle of the Leicester Square garden.
Its existence dates back to the 17th century and it was named after the Leicester House (which was the residence of the Earl of Leicester).
