Designed by the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, this intriguing modern building opened in 2004. It houses part of the Natural History Museum of Barcelona (Museu Blau) and an auditorium where conferences take place.
The museum occupies two floors and its permanent exhibition is called Planet Life. It is devoted to the history of life, the evolution of our planet and the state of our planet today.
