This spectacular building is the seat of Generalitat de Catalunya, the autonomous Catalan government. Located in the former Jewish quarter, it dates back to the medieval times. In fact, one hundred and thirty presidents governed Catalonia from this palace. The facade was designed by a Spanish architect Pere Blai in the Renaissance style.

The admission to the palace is free, but you must book a tour in advance. Use the designated form on the official website of the Catalan Government.
