The imposing Beaux-Arts building was erected for the 1900 World Exposition. Nowadays, it houses many interesting exhibitions beneath its huge Art Nouveau glass roof. The complex comprises of several separate galeries nationales (individual exhibition rooms) and also of the Palace de la Découverte which serves as a science museum. At night, the whole complex is beautifully illuminated.

A wide variety of cultural events takes place here, such as Chanel fashion shows or various concerts. Before your visit, be sure to check the official website to get some information on what sort of events can you visit there.

Be prepared for security checks when entering the complex (depending on the current situation) and do not bring any large luggage and bags to the building - you might not be let in.
