This public space is dominated by two splendid equestrian statues - of Prince Eugene of Savoy and Archduke Charles. Throughout its history, the square witnessed a number of important events including Hitler's announcement of Anschluss. It is now the perfect spot where to rest after exploring the vast complex of the Hofburg Palace.
