This military and maritime museum is a must-see for every fan of the military. It is placed on an old aircraft carrier, The Intrepid, which was used by the U.S. military in the Second World War.
Inside, you can explore interactive exhibits as well as look at some real historical footage. The main highlights of the museum, however, are its Space Shuttle pavilion, where you can see the original NASA space shuttle The Enterprise, as well as the Concorde airplane, which holds the record for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean ever. Last but not the least, you can try out how it felt to be an aviator with a 4D movie Stories of Intrepid, or a flying simulator G-Force Encounter.
When visiting, expect a security check of your luggage before being allowed inside the museum. It is also forbidden to eat or drink in the museum.
Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
