Jose Alvalade Stadium

This huge stadium was built in order to host the European Football Championship in 2004 and it has a seating capacity of more than 50 000 people. This arena designed by Tomás Taveira is also the home stadium of a multi-sports club Sporting CP (often inaccurately referred to as Sporting Lisbon). The stadium complex, Alvalade XXI, also houses a shopping mall, the football club's museum, and a sports pavilion.

Sporting Museum:
Mon - Fri: 11 am - 6 pm
Sat - Sun: the museum can only be visited in combination with a tour at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 4 pm.
