The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is a 135-meter-tall cantilevered observation wheel. Erected for the millennium celebrations, it officially opened on December 31, 1999. The structure consists of 32 glass-enclosed capsules that rotate slowly, providing panoramic views of the skyline. Each rotation takes nearly half an hour.
Designed by architects Julia Barfield and David Marks, the wheel has received architectural recognition, including a Thea Award. It serves as a prominent landmark and is a central point for New Year's Eve celebrations.
The attraction is open to the public and offers various ticket options available for booking.
