Paris' second largest public park. The gardens are very beautiful and you can find many interesting monuments and fountains there. It was established at the beginning of the 17th century by the queen of France - Marie de' Medici.
You can also admire the stunning Luxembourg palace here which was built in the 17th century for Marie de' Medici but is now a seat of the French Senate.
There are many fun facilities and activities for children, such as playgrounds, pony rides, swings, a puppet theatre, and a model yacht on which they can sail in the pond.
Adults can play tennis, chess, bridge, or have fun with remote control boats. The garden also hosts concerts and free photography exhibitions.
