This train station, opened in 1851, is a fascinating place - the old building hides a tropical garden and the new extension is an architectural masterpiece. The inside of the station is said to resemble an airport more than a traditional railway station.
Atocha Station is a busy place, as it is the main connecting point with many big cities in Spain. Thinking about visiting Seville, Barcelona or Valencia? Board one of the AVE high-speed trains here.
