Brooklyn Bridge Park is a unique example of urban design. Covering 1.3 miles of land next to the Brooklyn river, this green place of rest and relaxation once used to be the industrial area of the Brooklyn harbor. It also offers a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as of the city on the other side of the river.
True to the idea of nature-friendly architecture, the park was built using recycled materials and with a focus on sustainability. It isn't just an empty green plot of land, either. There are plenty of attractions and activities available, including a merry-go-round, basketball or beach volleyball courts, a picnic area, but also restaurants and a few shops on the park's premises.
Last but not the least, if you are a fan of Bollywood movies, this is the park that featured in Kal Ho Naa Ho.
