The main gallery of the Pitti Palace contains more than 500 Renaissance paintings from the private art collection of the Medici family. It was first opened to the public by the House of Lorraine in 1828.

The collection includes masterpieces by Raphael, Titian, Rubens or Pietro da Cortona. Pietro da Cortona also decorated some of the rooms with frescoes.

The ticket for the Palatine Gallery also allows entry to the Gallery of Modern Art, which is housed on the second floor of the Pitti Palace.

Tue - Sun: 8.15 am - 6.50 pm

Closed: Mondays, New Year’s Day, May 1st, Christmas Day.

The Royal Apartments are closed for maintenance every year in January.

Reduced: €4.25

Also valid for the Gallery of Modern Art. The price increases when temporary exhibitions take place.
