Located in Santi Chai Prakan Park, the fort was built in 1783 as one of the city watchtowers to protect the city against a possible naval attack. When fortification was no longer needed, most of the watchtowers were demolished except for Mahakan Fort and Phra Sumen Fort, which were renovated instead.
It's not open to visitors, but you can take a walk in the surrounding park and enjoy the views of the river.
Not open to the public.
