A small square adjacent to Cala Mayor which is embosomed with beautiful estates of great historical importance. One of the buildings to be found here is Casa de la Villa, which is the old Town Hall of Madrid. Its interior offers exquisite frescoes by Antonio Palomino.
Located in the historical part of the city, this square is also home to a monument commemorating Don Álvaro de Bazán who was once a celebrated Spanish admiral. It is said that during his career, he was never defeated. The statue was erected in 1888, marking the 300th anniversary of his death.
The Plaza is right next to the bus stop with the same name. You can get there by line 3.
