As of 2022 it is ranked by QS World University Rankings 33rd among the engineering and technology universities in the world, 31st worldwide for Mechanical Engineering, 16th for Petroleum Engineering, 28th for Architecture, 31st for Civil Engineering and 43rd for Electrical and electronic engineering.The Polytechnic University of Turin has its main campuses in the city of Turin, Italy, where the majority of the research and teaching activities are located, as well as other satellite campuses in four other cities across the Piedmont region.With eleven departments and several research institutes, it has around 35,000 students and 1,800 employees.
