Situated at the Quirinale Hill, one of the mystical seven hills of Rome, this square is where you can find some of Italy's most important public offices.
The most imposing building on the square is the Quirinal Palace, the official residence of the Italian president. Not far away stands the Palazzo della Consulta, the official residence of the Italian constitutional court.
When visiting, do not miss the chance to view the obelisk in the middle of the square. It was found in the tomb of Rome's first emperor, Augustus.
