The former Crystal Palace was built in 1865 in order to host the International Exhibition. However, this building was replaced by current pavilion Rosa Mota which is nowadays used as a venue for music and sporting events as well as a multimedia library. Make sure to visit the adjacent garden – it offers a beautiful view of Douro river.
