This Neo-classical chapel is famous because of the ceiling frescoes created by the famous Spanish romantic painter, Francisco Goya. It is also his resting place.
The beautiful ceiling frescoes depict the life and miracles of Saint Anthony of Padua, some of them portrayed in then-contemporary Madrid. The chapel also serves as a pilgrimage site.
