Royal Palace

Local namePalais Royal - Koninklijk Paleis
LocationPentagon, Brussels, België - Belgique - Belgien

A Neoclassical mansion that took over 200 years to build. It is the official palace of the Belgian King and Queen, but they do not actually reside here (they live in the Laeken Castle). It houses the royal collection and receptions are held here.

The palace dates back to the 18th century. However, it was restored in the very beginning of the 20th century (mainly its facade). Its predecessor occupying the same grounds dated back to the Medieval times though.

Visiting the palace is only possible during the summer months so consider that when planning your trip.
