One of the two Prague's churches dedicated to St. Nicholas, this one is located in Lesser Town. Built in the first half of the 18th century, it is known mainly for its exquisite Baroque architecture. The church was designed by Christoph Dientzenhofer and his son, Kilian Ignaz, and it is now regarded as the most valuable Baroque building in the city.
The interior is definitely worth visiting. Come inside and see its marvellous frescoes, beautifully decorated dome a unique organ with 4,000 pipes, that was once played by Mozart himself. The church still holds a number of concerts throughout the year. It's close to the metro station Malostránská (line A) and tram station Malostranské náměstí.
In 2018, some of the interior frescoes are undergoing reconstruction but the church remains open.
