Spanish Village

Local namePoble Espanyol
LocationPalma, Spain

A homage to Spain's cultural and historical past built by architect Fernando Goitia.

Built between 1965 and 1967, it is a recreation of some of Spain's finest cultural and historical buildings. They were modeled almost identically on the original buildings, however they are on a greatly reduced scale. Here you will find reconstructions of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, the Arab baths in Cordoba, plus other historical towers, castles and churches that are scattered throughout Spain and represent its diverse multicultural history. There are also bars and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by.
