Standing in the very heart of the city, the mighty fortress that withstood the Swedish raids of the Thirty-year war is worth a visit.
Several permanent exhibitions can be found around the castle, perhaps the most famous is the dungeon for prisoners. Many cultural events take place here throughout summer months.
The castle itself as well as its surroundings are very well restored and make for a nice stroll.
