A huge skyscraper in the shape of a bamboo. It used to be the highest building in the world between 2004 and 2010. Nowadays it is the highest green building in the world.
The Observatory offers amazing 360-degree views and it is a must-see place for all who visit Taipei. It spreads over four floors, starting with Taipei 101 Mall situated on the 5th floor, where you take a high-speed elevator to the observatory. It takes only 37 seconds to get from the 5th floor to the 89th floor. There is an indoor observatory featuring a museum with information about the construction of the skyscraper and the outdoor observatory accessible by stairs.
There is a metro station with the same name right next to the building, and it is operated by metro line 2 (red line).
