Forte Tre Sassi is a former Austro-Hungarian fortification constructed between 1897 and 1901. Following restoration, the site was converted into the Museum of the Great War, which focuses on the military history of the Dolomites during World War I. The interior houses an extensive collection of original weaponry, equipment, and historical artifacts recovered from the front lines.

The museum grounds include recreated trenches and barracks that illustrate the living conditions and military operations of the period. Spanning 600 square meters, the facility is open to the public and serves as an information center regarding the region's wartime history.
