A tranquil place with over 500 different species of tropical plants from various continents. Opened in 1873, this garden was once recognized as one of the best collections of plants in the world.
Its emphasis is placed on trees, rather than on plants in general, with a special focus on rare species. Some of the unique types include, for instance, the Canary Islands dragon tree, or an outstanding diversity of palms.
The Tropical Botanic Garden closes for requalification works as of January 7, 2019.
