The moving memorial, which was installed in 1994, commemorates the Jews who were transported from Paris to the concentration camps during WWII. The name of the monument refers to the velodrome where those who were supposed to be moved to the camps waited for the transportation. It is located close to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars.
