Built in the 18th century during the so-called Ayutthaya period, this Buddhist temple is a must-visit for its unique and serene atmosphere. It's a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city's rush and noise.
Take a stroll through the extensive temple grounds and admire the Chinese-style dragon reliefs which seem ready to break out of the outer walls of the wat. If you are lucky, you may even hear some Buddhist monks chanting their sutras.
Before entering, keep in mind that the temple is still a place of active worship. Wear loose clothes and cover your shoulders and knees.
