Although today this peaceful promenade serves as a place to relax for individuals, groups and families, it has a long and eventful history. In this area, the first non-natives disembarked their ships in the 17th century. There is not much left that would remind you of that period but you should come anyway and marvel at the Hudson River which definitely did not change.
