Coastal Cliffs and Viewpoints

Bornholm's northern coastline is defined by dramatic granite cliffs and unique geological formations shaped by the Baltic Sea. This selection includes the soaring Helligdomsklipperne and the eroded Kamelhovederne near the Hammershus ruins. Beyond the coast, the list features the historic Hammeren Lighthouse and Madsebakke, home to Denmark's largest collection of Bronze Age petroglyphs. Helligdomsklipperne

Helligdomsklipperne are a group of rocks on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, 6 kilometres from Gudhjem and 4.9 kilometres from Tejn.

Kamelhovederne

Eroded granite rock formations located on the shore below the Hammershus castle ruins, shaped by sea erosion to resemble the heads of camels or lions.

Hammeren Lighthouse

Hammeren Lighthouse is located on the Hammeren peninsula on the northwestern tip of the Danish island of Bornholm.

Madsebakke

Dronningestenen

Rokkestenen

A 35-ton glacial erratic boulder located in the Almindingen forest. Despite its massive size, the stone is balanced so precisely that it can be rocked by hand.

Randkløve

A dramatic geological rift valley and 15-meter-deep cleft cutting through the coastal granite cliffs on the eastern shore of Bornholm.

Måneskinsklipperne

Part of the Helligdomsklipperne rock complex, these coastal granite formations are situated near the Bornholm Art Museum.

Siriusklippen

A specific granite outcrop within the Helligdomsklipperne area, named after the star Sirius.

Kongemindet

A granite observation tower situated on Rytterknægten, the island's highest point. It was built in 1856 to commemorate the visit of King Frederik VII.
