Formentera’s coastline is defined by 18th-century defensive watchtowers and iconic lighthouses situated on dramatic cliffs. Built to guard against pirate incursions, towers like Sa Punta Prima and Pi des Català offer strategic vantage points over the Mediterranean. The island’s maritime heritage is anchored by Far de la Mola, perched on 120-meter cliffs, and Far des Cap de Barbaria, marking the southernmost point.
