WWII Heritage Sites
This collection highlights surviving World War II coastal defenses around Ouistreham and Riva-Bella: preserved sections of the Atlantic Wall, concrete bunkers and ringstands, command and fire-control posts, anti-aircraft observation towers, and memorials tied to D-Day operations such as the capture of Pegasus Bridge. Many sites retain original concrete structure, internal rooms or gun pits and illustrate German defensive organization along the Caen Canal and adjacent beaches.
