Peaks and Mountain Huts

Paklenica National Park encompasses the most rugged sections of the Velebit mountain range. This selection features the massif's highest point, Vaganski Vrh (1,757m), and the prominent Sveto Brdo, known for its unobstructed views of the Adriatic and Lika regions. The list includes essential high-altitude shelters like Struge and Ivine Vodice, alongside the iconic Anića Kuk, a 712-meter limestone monolith. These locations serve as the primary network for multi-day traverses through the park's karst landscape.

A

Sveto Brdo

The second-highest peak in Velebit (1,751m), offering 360-degree views of the Adriatic islands and the inland Lika plateau. A large metal cross marks the summit.

Vaganski vrh

The highest peak of the Velebit range at 1,757 meters. It sits on a high plateau characterized by karst sinkholes and serves as a central point on the Velebit Hiking Trail.

Planinarski dom Paklenica

A mountain lodge located at 480 meters in the Velika Paklenica canyon. It provides dormitory-style accommodation and meals, serving as the main base for hikers.
