Museums and Galleries of Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico’s museums span centuries of history, from the pre-Columbian Taino artifacts at Museo El Cemí to the European and Puerto Rican masterpieces at the Ponce Museum of Art. Architecture highlights include the Moorish Revival style of the Parque de Bombas and the colonial military design of the Ballajá Barracks. The collection features specialized sites like the Arecibo Observatory, the Hacienda Buena Vista coffee plantation, and the contemporary galleries of San Juan’s Santurce district.
