Ras al-Khaimah Essentials
Ras Al Khaimah’s landscape is defined by the Hajar Mountains, including Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak. This list covers the emirate’s historical defense systems, such as the 18th-century Dhayah Fort and Al Hisn Fort, which now houses the National Museum. It includes the world’s longest zipline and the abandoned 14th-century pearl-diving settlement of Jaziraah Al Hamra. For nature and recreation, the selection features the Wadi Al Far hiking trails and Saqr Park, the region’s largest public green space.
Al Hisn Fort
An 18th-century fortification that served as the ruling family's residence until 1964. It now houses the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah, displaying archaeological artifacts, traditional crafts, and historical documents from the region's pearl-diving era.
