Roses Essentials

Roses combines military architecture with ancient archaeological sites on the northern Costa Brava. The town is anchored by the Ciutadella, a massive fortification containing Greek and Roman ruins, and the 16th-century Castell de la Trinitat. Prehistoric heritage is preserved at the Dolmen de la Creu d'en Cobertella, while the rugged Cap de Creus Natural Park provides access to the Punta de Norfeu peninsula and the remote Platja de Jóncols. Modern recreation options include the Aqua Brava water park and the 7th-century Visigothic Castrum ruins.
