Parks and Nature
Skopje’s green spaces range from central memorial gardens to high-altitude glacial lakes. The city’s urban core is anchored by the expansive City Park and the monument-filled Park of the Woman - Freedom-fighter. Beyond the center, the Skopje valley contains the protected Katlanovo Swamp, a key site for birdwatching, while the Jakupica mountain range hosts the Salakovski Ezera, two glacial lakes situated at over 2,100 meters above sea level.
City Park
Established in the early 20th century, this expansive park along the Vardar River contains the Skopje Zoo, the National Arena, and multiple ponds and monuments.
Park of The Woman - Freedom-fighter
Located opposite the Parliament building, this memorial park features numerous sculptures and monuments, including the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes of Macedonia.
Katlanovo Swamp
A protected nature reserve and wetland in the Skopje valley known for its botanical, ichthyological, and ornithological significance.
Park Banovina

Salakovski Ezera
