Akureyrarkaupstaður Essentials

Akureyri, the northern hub of Iceland, sits at the base of the Eyjafjörður fjord. The town features the landmark Akureyrarkirkja church, designed by architect Guðjón Samúelsson, and one of the world's northernmost botanical gardens.
