Volcanic Wonders of Indonesia

East Nusa Tenggara’s volcanic landscape features a diverse range of active stratovolcanoes and unique geological formations across the islands of Flores, Adonara, and Pantar. The highlight is Kelimutu, renowned for its three tri-colored crater lakes that shift hues due to mineral changes. Other significant peaks include the symmetrical Ebulobo, the twin volcano complex of Lewotobi, and Mount Sirung on Pantar Island, which contains a large sulfuric crater lake. These sites showcase Indonesia’s position on the Ring of Fire through active vents, sulfur deposits, and dramatic caldera views.
