Coastal Lookouts

This selection features the primary vantage points across Freycinet National Park's granite landscape. It includes the Wineglass Bay Lookout, accessed via a steep 1.3-kilometer track through the Hazards, and the Cape Tourville boardwalk, which provides views of the Nuggets offshore rocks. These sites showcase the region's distinct geological features, including pink granite peaks, white quartz sand, and orange lichen-covered boulders along the Tasman Sea coastline.

Wineglass Bay Lookout

Reached via a 1.3-kilometer uphill track through pink granite boulders, this vantage point provides a direct view of the white sand curve of Wineglass Bay and the surrounding Hazards range.

Sleepy Bay

A coastal area characterized by orange lichen-covered granite rocks and rocky coves. A short walking track leads from the car park to the shoreline.

Cape Tourville Lookout

Features a 600-meter accessible boardwalk encircling an automated lighthouse. It offers views of the Tasman Sea and the Nuggets, a cluster of four granite islets.

Coles Bay Lookout

Vantage point overlooking the township of Coles Bay and the granite peaks of the Hazards across the water.

Mount Freycinet

The highest peak in the national park at 620 meters. Accessible via a strenuous hike, it provides 360-degree views of the entire Freycinet Peninsula and Schouten Island.
