There are very few Franciscan churches in the city (this one being one of the two). It stands on a former vineyard and even though the interior is quite simple, you may find masterpieces of such artists as Paolo Veronese or Giovanni Bellini inside. Since it is slightly off the beaten track, there are fewer tourists and you can enjoy it in a rather peaceful atmosphere.
