Almería History & Museums
Almería’s historical landscape is defined by the Alcazaba, a massive 10th-century Moorish fortress, and the Museum of Almería, which houses significant Los Millares and El Argar archaeological collections. The city’s industrial heritage is preserved in the Cable Inglés, a 1904 iron ore pier. Aljibes Árabes Jairán s. XI
These 11th-century vaulted water cisterns were commissioned by King Jairán to supply the city. The hydraulic engineering feat consists of three interconnected chambers that once held over 600,000 liters of water.
