Historic Bridges

This collection highlights Bremen’s engineering heritage through its most significant river and park crossings. It includes the industrial 1931 Nordschleusenbrücke swing bridge in Bremerhaven and the essential railway passage over the Weser. Within the city’s green spaces, the heritage-listed Melchersbrücke and Aselmeyerbrücken showcase late 19th-century decorative ironwork, while the Wümmebrücke serves as a key link across the northern river landscape.
